Members

The Division currently offers 2 grades of membership:

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP or STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

Membership registration is available through the GWD website (register for member log-in) or members can download and complete the attached registration form at the bottom of the page and either fax or post it to the office of the Secretariat.

Student membership

Student membership is strongly encouraged and the 2009 member fees were set at R50 per annum.

Student membership criteria: "bona fide" student under 26 years of age at a recognised institution.

Student membership benefits:

Student members will be listed on the website. This database will introduce and expose students to the sector. It can assist in future integration and uptake into available sector opportunities e.g. learnership programmes, finishing schools, project and programme interns as well as full-time placements.

• Discounted rates or full sponsorship for GWD seminars, conferences and other GWD events
• Updates on GWD sector news and career opportunities
• Access to speakers’ lectures
• Privilege to vote for the GWD Chair and Executive Committee and attendance at the yearly AGM meetings
• Copy of the Borehole Water Journal
• Member profile and Forum discussions on the GWD website
• Certificate of membership

Corporate Membership

The Division Corporate Membership is available to all individuals at R200 per annum.

• Privilege to vote for the GWD Chair and Executive Committee and attendance at the yearly AGM meetings

  Added Company Benefit: If more than three individual members of any Organisation/ Institute / Corporation / Concultancy [Company] join the GWD, an advertisement opportunity for the company will be made available. This will include: - Logo display and live web-link to the company plus free advertisement of any events, publications or announcements. 

On application for membership, prospective members are advised to make proof of membership fee contributions available to the GWD Secretariat as soon as the application process is completed. Full membership will only be granted if proof of payment is offered.

Payments of GWD fees or other payments/donations can be made electronically or via direct deposit into the bank account. Please use your name and/or membership number as a reference for your payment. Once the payment has been made please e-mail the proof of payment through to email.
